Meet Your Yoga Teacher, Nicole Castka
Nicole Castka is a practicing criminal defense trial attorney, a certified Energy Mastery® work facilitator/instructor and an E-RYT-500 certified yoga teacher trained in the vinyasa style of yoga through both Yoga Shelter and Source Movement Yoga. She has been a voracious student of yoga since 2002 and has been teaching in the metro-Detroit area since 2011.
Her teaching is specialized in the areas of: Family Yoga, Gentle Flow, Partner Yoga, PreTeen Yoga, Slow Flow, VinYin, Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra.
She has taught amazing workshops and classes all over the USA and Canada, including the Sedona Yoga Festival in and the Lole` White Tour in both New York City and Toronto.
Nicole creates a safe and comfortable space for her students through her unique use of humor, theme, energy and music that allows her students to journey into realms of inward reflection, deep peace and energetic renewal.
- Two sessions per week you can participate in live via Zoom; One Energy Yoga Class, and one meditation.
- Access to the recordings in our membership site for the weekly yoga and meditation, so you can retake the class as many times as you like. Classes will be replaced weekly.
- Customized practices for every body and all levels. The meeting room will be open 15 minutes in advance so you can chat with the teacher, and share any specific needs.
How it Works & Class Schedule
- Energy Yoga is a 5-week online session offering 2 classes per week that will be recorded.
Energy Yoga classes will be held weekly on Wednesdays at 4pm Pacific / 7pm Eastern beginning June 3rd, 2020
Meditations will be held Saturdays at 3pm Pacific / 6pm Eastern beginning June 6th, 2020
NOTE: This class requires a minimum of 12 students. In the event that enrollment is not met, you'll receive an immediate refund. Regardless, the first class will run no matter what, so you'll still get to enjoy the first class on us.
Do I need to be an experienced yoga practitioner?
No. Nicole has been teaching yoga for many years, and will lead practices that are truly for ALL LEVELS. If you have questions, you can always hop on the Zoom call a few minutes early and she'll be there for you.
What if I can't make one of the live sessions?
You'll be able to enjoy a recording of the class through our membership site. Classes will be recorded and posted there within 24 hours, and remain available until the following week, so you can retake the class as many times as you like.
What is the style of yoga?
Energy Yoga is a unique hatha yoga practice that utilizes intelligent sequences of poses to to cleanse, restore and harness the energy in and around your body. It is accessible for all body types and levels of physical conditioning and experience. We're ALL energy.
Do I need any special equipment or props?
No. If you have them, you're welcome to use them. If you don't, plenty of options will be given so you can participate fully. Even if you don't have a yoga mat!
How long will I have access to the recordings?
Each week the recording will be replaced with the class or meditation for the week. So you'll have access to each individual recording for one week until the next one becomes available. After the 5 week course concludes, you'll have access to the final recording for another 8 days before the course is closed.
